Solar RASE

Over the last term, primary and high school students have been studying units of work that cover concepts relating to electric circuits, renewable energy and engineering. The end project was to produce the fastest solar car they could, to participate in Solar RASE.

Finalists from each school came together at Kadina High in a showcase event featuring over 100 students from 11 primary schools and 3 high schools.

Primary school students raced down a 20m straight sprint track, while high school students competed on an oval track in a series of pursuit races.

In the primary school competition, Nicholas, Ash, and Ivy from Albert Park Public were narrow winners over Bexhill Public, while in the high school competition, Miles, Isireli, and Sage from Kadina High were victorious over Richmond River High.
