FAQs

What is The Rivers Secondary College?

It is 3 separate campuses combining to form a college. Kadina High Campus, Lismore High Campus and Richmond River High Campus service the families of Lismore and its immediate surrounds. We provide excellence in education for students in years 7-12 at each campus.

How do I enrol my child into The Rivers Secondary College?

Bring your child into any campus and our administrative staff will guide you through the process of enrolment and arrange a meeting with the campus Principal at the same time. You can also arrange a campus tour at any time.

When can my child enrol in subjects offered at other campuses?

Subject selection for the senior years occurs at the end of the second term.  Year 10 students, in discussion with their parents and teachers decided upon the courses they would like to study in Years 11 and 12.  As the timetable is developed students will be informed as to whether a subject they have choosen will be offered at a host campus.  There is a comprehensive orientation for all year 10 students planning to study subjects at other campuses.  They will have the opportunity to meet their future teachers, fellow students and familiarise themselves with the host campus.

If your child is a new enrolment in Year 11 or 12, they have access to the campus subjects they are enrolling at, as well as the Shared Curriculum subjects at other campus sites.

For Shared Curriculum Rivers subjects in years 11 and 12, how does my child get to the host campus from their own campus?

Students are able to commute to the host campus during the school day.  The Rivers bus is a regular transport service provided by the college at no cost to the student or family.
