The Rivers P-12 Learning Community was very fortunate to have the opportunity for The Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) to run two workshops at Lismore High Campus on the 21st August. Over 60 students from 12 schools participated in this event.
Students were exposed to three fabulous professional dancers taking them through a two hour inspiring workshop for our dancers. The ADT dancers shared their knowledge and skills with our students through a series of exercises developing our student's technique and performance skills. Our students were lucky enough to learn a phrase from ADT's current touring dance work ‘Be Your Self' during the choreography session at the end of the workshop.
Thank you to parents and carers who supported our students getting to and from this event. Our students embraced this opportunity to learn from amazingly talented professional dancers. All students participated with enthusiasm, good manners and pointed toes!
A big thank you to Tom, Felix and Matt from ADT for sharing their knowledge and experience with our young dancers, they provided our community with a wonderful learning opportunity.
