High potential and gifted education

At The Rivers Secondary College, Kadina High Campus, we recognise that students with high potential and gifted abilities require tailored learning experiences to thrive. Our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program supports students who demonstrate exceptional abilities in intellectual, creative, social-emotional, or physical domains by providing challenging opportunities that nurture their talents and inspire academic and personal growth.

What is high potential and gifted education?

Our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programs and practices are designed to deepen and extend students’ learning beyond the standard curriculum. Students identified as having high potential or giftedness may excel in one or more domains (intellectual, creative, social-emotional, or physical) and often benefit from enriched learning environments that cater to their pace, complexity, and depth of thinking.
